The TEC Foundation was founded in memory of Todd E. Carrouth.  Todd was born and raised in Fort Mill, SC.  He was the son of  Arnold and Daphne Carrouth and graduated from Fort Mill High School in 1982.  He married Rene Rowland in 1985.  Todd worked for Southland Dealer Services in Charlotte and was a volunteer fireman at Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Todd was an active member of Harrison United Methodist Church and was involved in many community activities in the Fort Mill area.

Two days before Thanksgiving in 2000, Todd was diagnosed with cancer.  The prognosis was not good and Todd died just a few short weeks later on January 22, 2001. He left behind his wife Rene and 2 young daughters Kayla and Hannah.

While Todd was a layman, he was a “Minister” in every sense of the word. Todd had a positive impact on everyone he touched.  Through Todd’s life (and his death) he taught those around him the true meaning of faith, trust and friendship.
